Damn you Apple, Damn You to the Rotten Core!
Here I was, thinking that I could live without an Ipod despite having one for a month. Of course I was wrong. After giving it to my brother the previous night, I started to have withdrawal symptoms, and couldn't cope with having to lug around a now "HUGE" mp3-cd player. And seeing as how Future Shop had a coupin for 15% off for the 23rd-25th, I decided to hook myself up with one of these:
The way I even got it is hilarious. Once I got to my local Future Shop (at 10:30), the salesman immediately showed me the display model and once I was unsure on colour, told me that all the blacks are gone and whites are availalbe. Since I couldn't care less on colour, I OK'd the white. Of course with my luck they then couldn't find a 4GB white, and were hence "Sold Out". Dissappointedly I walked out when out of nowhere, a middle aged brown salesman runs yelling "Sir, Sir, Sir!" and offers to sell one of his black 4GB nanos to me. I assume he's doing this to collect commission but I couldn't care less. He took like 10 minutes to get the refund processed for his original purchase, and while selling it to me, was becoming VERY annoying on insisting on extended warranty for $24. I'm not for warranties and if it weren't for the fact that the Nano was rare as hell to find, I would have left, but I persisted on my no's and left. Quickly downloading songs to it and going to work. Let's just say I got quite a few stares as I put it down to buy some smokes at Union Station (the smokes weren't for me, I swear!).
Yes I am an Apple sucker now. The thing is so damn tiny! It even makes the Mini look big! My only beef with it is how easily scratched it can get, though I have ordered a skin from http://www.decalgirl.com
Though I haven't tried it, other users have been getting great success out of using Brasso to remove scratches. I'll wait till my covers come in before having it get scratched again!
