Sunday - the boring day....
Slept in, woke up at like 2-ish to see a note that my mum had gone to a family friend's home, to see her friend's husband, who had just recovered from a mild heart attack. I must admit, my first thought was : Hooray, house for me! (My bro. was at work).
Ended up watching a lot of the Bills/Texans game, to open up the NFL season. I like the Bills new uniforms and helmets, but I think by itself the parts are less than their sum, hence I aint getting a McGahee jersey anytime soon. Bills won, so I switched to Fox for the late afternoon matchup. They start off broadcasting the end of the Saints/Panthers game, a 20-20 tie, and right when the Saints rally to get the ball to the Carolina 50, Fox cuts off to go to their schedule game! I get pissed as they'd cut the end of a Great game to get to the beginning of a game, which didn't even start for another 5 minutes! Anyhow, the Saints won with a Jon Carney field goal (yes, he's still alive!). I've adopted the Saints as my team for this year (finally, after waiting all last year to pick a team). I think you'd have to be cold hearted not to root for them after what's happened in their city over the last few weeks.
My AFC team, the Jacksonville Jaguars, also one a great game, though I never got to see it. I'm so glad that my good friend has got Sunday Ticket, so that once Jays season is over, I'm SOO heading over there to check games out every Sunday!
Moms comes back right before I go to pick the brother from work, and she decides to tag along to pick up stuff from Walmart. We see my brother at 5:10, soaked in ink, and pissed. We get pissed as well watching him take forever to close out, doing things he should have done at like 4:45, so that we wouldnt have to wait 30 minutes for him to finish work (which will be unpaid!). The stupid sibling even was dumb enough NOT to take a break, citing that it was "too busy to take one". Doofus, absolute doofus.
Afterwards just chilled, ate biryani, and watched family guy until I decided to get down to updating the good ol' blog!
