Darkness in the Light

Hey yaars!

You'd THINK the first snowfall of the year would be bad enough, I just had the power in my building go out TWICE within four hours!

It sucked today because the main blackout occured whilst I was on the way home from picking up my mother. Of course since our garage has an electrical lock, we couldn't open the door to get in. So I had to park across the street at Price Chopper. THEN I had to lead my mother up dark stairwells, with the help of an Ipod's light.

So after about an hour I have to run to drop off my brother at work. We run across the street, I get back, park the car at Price Chopper, walk up darkened stairs, and curl up in my bed to listen to Fall Out Boy on the Ipod. Within MINUTES, the power returns! Of course that means I run back to the Price Chopper, drive the car back into our garage, and get back to curling up. Damn I hate this building! Admitedly It could be worse, apparently one of our neighbours got stuck in the elevator for 2 hours in the dark, passed out and was taken to hospital by ambulance. So I shouldn't complain TOO much.

To make things worse, my Ipod is semi-defective. It plays/displays perfectly fine, the click wheel is the problem. You literally have to press down with all your might to get the "next" button to work. I hate how I can never get things done right the FIRST TIME! On to Yorkdale I go tomorrow, perhaps spending some more money on more useless junk!
