My Sunday Slumber
Hey yaars,
Not too much to account for today. The early hours of the morning were spent finishing off my book, The Life of Pi, I definitely recommend it as a good read. It's very basic in parts, but begins to transcend its simplicities and reshape itself an excellent tale of miracle. No, I'm not making commission or anything by promoting the book, it was just a very good read.
Woke up today around early-afternoon to find that NOBODY was at home. I knew my brother would be at his inkjet job but had no clue where The Mom would be. Of course after picking up my brother from work, I realized that she went with her best friend out shopping for the day. It took quite the time to get my brother to actually talk to me, but I think we're square now. I still have some juicy gossip to rat him out on should he ever try and mess with me again!
Of course eventually we had to go to Markham to pick up The Mom. When we got phoned by her, she reminded my brother to pick up some green onion. Not sure why, we realized that once again, her best friend had managed to bungle things up. We've NEVER had a meal at her place without some problem. They can range from her being tired, not having all the right ingredients, not enough of the right ingredients, food burning, etc. Of course we came to the rescue and the barbecue dinner was saved!
Decent time was had. Luckily they have NFL Season Ticket and we managed to watch with their son (who I've gotten along with for decades). It was kinda cool to be able to flip channels to see about 5 different games at a time. When I hit the big time, I'll want flat screens all over my home with every possible sport on. It's just uncivilized not to!
Now I'm home, craving for cheesecake, but settling for ice cream. Not much to do tomorrow but rest, and probably run a few errands.
Talk to y'all l8er.
