The more things change, the more they stay the same...

Hey yaars,

It dawned upon me that in the year or so I've been blogging, I've learned quite a bit about social interaction and the human psyche. And of course a few blogging etiquette rules along the way.

In the past year, I've managed to learn the following about myself...

I'm funny.
I'm ugly.
I'm handsome.
I look good with a beard.
I look good clean-shaven.
I need a new haircut.
I'm crazy.
I'm bi-polar (oh what trouble that caused!).
I have no spine.
I'm a gossip-slut.
I'm too brown for my own good.
I'm sensitive.
and many others to boot....

I came into the whole blogging stratosphere expecting people to laugh at my antics. Which I'm sure has occured on numerous occasions. I just had no comprehension of how much of one's self is out there when the PUBLISH button is hit upon a new post. Yes, you get to speak the words you wanna say, at the same time you have to be careful as to not hurt people who might think differently of themselves. It's definitely a tight-rope walking experience, which I've suffered and enjoyed over the year.

Duplicitous yes, whilst at the same time an immense learning experience. I've actually lost and gained friends through this wonderful Stand Up Speak Up blog, and here's to hoping I muster enough energy to spew out some more vitriolic words in the coming future!
