Discombobulated

Hey yaars,

I just got back from attending a 'mandatory' E.I. meeting this morning. For about an hour, I basically had to try and keep myself alert, listening to the basics of the system. While I'm sure they're doing this to prevent any ignorance from recipients, it's almost a mute point for me as I should be back to work in hopefully a fortnight's time.

Onto the computer side of things. Evidently my Dell is in Toronto with Purolator "on delivery". It's been at that status since 8 AM this morning and some 4 and a half hours later, it's still not here. How long does it take to go through a days deliveries? I specifically left a phone in Zan's room while I was gone so that they wouldn't buzz and miss our apartment. Of course it was all for naught as I'm patiently waiting for the new monster.

My mother spoke with her brother, you know, the one who's currently staying in Indiana. The idea being thrown around is that we would both meet up ideally at my cousin's place in Chicago. Of course scheduling is proving to be a nightmare.

From now until April 17th (when my uncle departs to go back home to Pakistan), I would have just started work and Zan will have finished the term and will be in the middle of finals, making for an interesting pickle at hand. The one chance we do have is during Zan's reading week in the middle of Febraury, which I don't think would work as it isn't exactly professional to take time off from work just days in from beginning. Along with that, Zan will have to study for a couple of midterms.

What's worse? The only games that week in the Windy City are the Blackhawks against the Sharks, and the Bulls playing the Wizards and Hawks (yeah, I'm going 'blugh' right now). Why can't the Cubs start up in February :(

One thing I noticed yesterday while in WalMart. Why is it that when you enter a store, there are always automatic doors, yet usually when you depart, you have to manually push a door open. It's almost as if they warmly welcome you into the store for your business, but couldn't care less once you've spent your money!

I'm off to take a little mini nap. Waking up this early while good, is going to take a while to adjust to. Hopefully my next post will be later this evening with a functioning Dell!
