Eye of the Tiger

Just finished a plate of my mom's domestically famous biryani, and thought I'd write a bit to let off some steam. I'm not sure if my random thoughts are well received, though the one opinion I did get roared its approval. Surprisngly, it was someone I don't even know that well. In any event, onwards and forwards with the random musings :
- The NHL unveiled the new All-Star uniforms, which are to be the prototype for team jerseys next year. They're not as tight-fight and cycling-like as the Nike's from last year, but they still look odd. What's worse is that starting next year most teams will forcedly have to drop their 3rd jerseys, making the Colorado and Edmonton entries in my jersey collection compeletely obsolete! And for you leafs fans out there, be warned - they're changing our logo too!
- Now Kelly Osborne has a reality show? We already knew that 'fat bitch' couldn't sing (Chappelle reference), now we have to see her try and act 'real'? Kill me now and spare the pain.
- Dalton McGuinty's currently in Lahore, Pakistan - where most of my relatives reside. The writer for the Star mentions how Pakistanis tend to have an inferiority complex with neighbours India, to which I have to begrudingly admit. Mind you, I still think we're better at cricket (stats say so too). Oh, and here's a video of the daily border closing ceremony they have. Somehow I don't see anything like this happening at the Peace Bridge!
- Tomo Ohka's a Blue Jay from what I hear. Let me be the first to openly announce that I am an Okha-holic!
- My Mom has actually started to open up to the idea of me 'going out' with girls (at least that's what I understood). It came up when Zan mentioned how he knew a bunch of girls at work. My mom's cool with it so long as she's Pakistani (or of Pakistani origin), and of our religious community. Great, that narrows it down to about 10 people I might like!
- On a related note, evidently people in the community with young daughters have asked about yours truly. Of course, with my luck it's probably someone that falls in one of two categories:
(1) A cow of cows
(2) Someone trying to immigrate here
Methinks I should start hitting cluuubs with Cedric in Waterloo more often. Or as he likes to call them, libraries.
- I FINALLY got confirmation that my new computer has been shipped. It's about frikkin time! Hopefully I get it here before it becomes obsolete!
Anyways, I'm off to train at Fight Night Round 3. I lost yesterday to Zan by knockout with ONE SECOND remaining in the 12th (Final) round! Him and his bloody cheat codes!
