TFC! TFC! TFC!

Yes, I'm now officially hooked.

Like the most of you sports fans, I too scoffed when hearing the news that Toronto would have a new MLS team. But after watching how crazy the stadium was on TV, I knew I had to mozy on down to BMO Field. Which is why I dragged Zan out of a day's work for the game Saturday against DC United. Thanks to help from Derek, I managed to have a pair of seats for the game at actual face value! And let me say this, upon entering the exhibition grounds, you can feel the electricity.

Even picking up tickets at Will Call had a certain excitement to it. I couldn't believe my ears when hearing actual football chants around the grounds while waiting in line. Drums banging, crowds chanting, and actual flags waving. The first impression me and my brother agreed on - Awesome.

Upon receiving tickets (while missing out on saying hi to a friend working at the next wind0w), we got to experience something truly unique to Toronto - tailgates. And while waiting for the game, I think our pep factor multiplied manyfold. I say this because we came in sombre, and immediately began yelling "TFC!" upon entering the field.

As for our tickets, we got section 105, row 1 ! Here's a shot of your boy from the seat...



Sufficed to say, it was mindblowing!

Yeah, Toronto FC lost the game 2-1. And I still insist that the officiating was horrible to the point of ridicule,but it was still really fun. If only I could say that about other teams. (Go Jays Go!)

Now if only I could find a place which stocks some Toronto FC Scarves. I've wanted one for months and now I'm told they very well could be sold out for the season!
